In years past, Pack 97 regularly held their Regatta at the Islander Park Pool so that the boys could swim between races and work on their activity badges and swimming belt loops. However, changes in policy had made that impossible for the last three years. This year, Pack 97 reached out to our city leaders and with the help of our City Councilman, Paul Davis, our Mayor, Rusty Bailey, and the wonderful people at the City of Riverside Parks and Recreation Department; we were able to return. The boys and our families had a wonderful time. Webelos worked on their Aquanaut and many a Cub Scout worked on their cannon ball! In recognition of their hard work, Pack 97 presented our gratitude to the City of Riverside and our hard working Civic Leaders! It was a great opportunity for boys to see how a City Council meeting works and to meet our Civic Leaders. Thank You, John D.
