JAMBOREE HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE 30,000 Scouts and Ventures at the 2021 National Scout Jamboree to be held for the third time at the SUMMIT BECHTEL RESERVE in West Virginia – highlights include: rappelling, zip lines, white water rafting (extra fee), BMX Cycle trails, shotgun, rifle, skeet and pistol shooting, archery ranges, SCUBA Diving, swimming, kayaking, rowing, merit badge midway, patch trading, skills events, arena shows, Order of the Arrow Village and a whole lot more!

          In 2021 the CIEC will be sending

  • 2 Scouts BSA Boy Troops - Troops of 40: 36 youth and 4 adults Leaders

  • 1 Scouts BSA Girl Troop - Troops of 40: 36 youth and 4 adults Leaders

  • 1 Venturing Crew – 36 Venture Scouts and 4 Adult Leader

Participants will be selected from applicants from throughout the California Inland Empire Council area.  A Council Jamboree Committee consisting of experienced Scouting leaders from all parts of the Council, most of whom who have attended previous Jamborees as leaders and staff, will support the Troops/Crew and will provide services such as leader, Scout and Venturer selection, budget and finance management, troop equipment, personal equipment, and pre-Jamboree training.

  • Scouts must have a current BSA membership with a Scouts BSA troop.

  • Must be at least First Class Scouts by July 21, 2021.

  • Must be at least 12 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree or an 11 year old that has graduated the 6th grade.



  • Crew members must have a current BSA membership with a Venturing crew.

  • Must have graduated the 8th grade or be at least 14 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree but have not reached their 21st birthday by the last day of the Jamboree.

  • Must have earned their Venturing award by July 21, 2021.



  • Be approved by their unit leader and council contingent Jamboree committee and participate in a pre-Jamboree training experience – mandatory.

  • Have filed a Jamboree Personal Health and Medical record reflecting the Scouts medically fit with the council’s Jamboree committee before the pre-Jamboree training and submit all registration fees per the local council's payment schedule.

    Estimated Total Jamboree Fee will be $2,000

       The Total Jamboree fee includes:

  • Roundtrip Airfare

  • Transportation to the Jamboree

  • Pre-Jamboree Training Weekend Shakedown Campout and all meals


  • 2 – 2021 NSJ Official Uniform Recognition Patches

  • 2 – 2021 NSJ California Inland Empire Contingent Council Shoulder Patches

  • Hat, duffle bag, and neckerchief



The payment schedule is outlined in the councils NSJ Contingent Refund policy.  In order to make saving toward the Jamboree expenses easier, you may start to make payments now which will be kept on deposit in your name and will be fully refundable in accordance with the Refund Policy, with the exception of your $200 non-refundable deposit within 14 days of your selection as a participant.

  • Council Shoulder Patches for trading will be available for purchase for an additional fee, center Patch Price TBD.

  • Council Contingent T-shirt may be purchased for an additional fee of TBD

  • Each Scout will be required to have TWO Complete Summer CLASS A Uniforms – NO EXCEPTIONS – not included in price

  • Additional expenses can be expected for personal equipment, souvenirs, spending money and miscellaneous items not contemplated at this time


Fees are subject to change to accommodate air cost, airport taxes, and other non-contemplated official fees.  The CIEC Jamboree Committee will make every effort to keep the total fees at the stated price.
